We are a strange bunch. A picture of a person inescapably brings a narrative with it. The majority of my figurative paintings have started life as old photographs, found in either online or auctions or at bricks and mortar auction houses. I tend to immerse myself in one subject for a time, and it was unsurprisingly during the pandemic that the subject of people, human contact and companionship was playing on my mind. A number of these paintings were made as part of a series during this time.
